Introduction

In the summer of 2006, I decided to take on the challenge of pursuing a graduate degree though DSU in Madison.  MSET seemed to be a natural fit as I have been extremely interested in technology as a teaching tool.

The MSET program has been a challenging yet rewarding program in which I have learned many new concepts about applying technology to education.  The adage that says the more you know, the more you realize you don’t know certainly applied to me as new ways of looking at things, new and old teaching philosophies and new techniques of data interpretation and assessment came to light during this venture.

There are so many directions a person could go, but I chose to go the route of classroom instruction and integration, dealing with new technologies and how to apply them.  I hope other educators will choose to pursue a graduate degree in some field that will enable them to become better instructors.   I also hope that they will choose to use new technologies in the classroom to make the educational experience for all students more rewarding.
